What is OptiCoat Pro?!
OptiCoat Pro is a hard wearing, aftermarket, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching and chemical etching from environmental impacts. It provides permanent protection for all factory paints, and can also be applied to exterior glass, metal and hard plastic surfaces.
OptiCoat Pro is not a wax or sealant like other products on the market. It is a ceramic clear coating very similar to factory type clear coats. A layer of Ceramic clear coat measures approx. 2 microns in thickness, or about 100 times thicker than your typical wax or sealant. Unlike paint protection sealants such as PTFE, Nano Sealants, GlassPlexin that degrade over time and are easily removed through washing with water or chemicals, Ceramic clear coat does not degrade and cannot be removed by chemicals such as heavy duty truck wash or even caustic degreasers. It is totally resistant to these chemicals and produces a permanent film that is chemically bonded with the factory paint layers. Ceramic clear coat is effectively the vehicles new outer clear coat. It is far more resistant to chemical etching than factory clear coats and far more resistant than competing paint protection sealants. The 2 micron layer also provides a thick buffer between any damage and the factory paintwork.
To the left is a 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS that was badly damaged as you can see in the original photo. After an extreme wash and the removal of tar, dead bugs and other road grime we began to decontaminate the body with a nano skin wipe and began to remove the nasty swirling and hazing. In the second photo the swirls where removed and then we began to ISP wipe the body to remove any left over oils or residues left over by the polish before beginning the OptiCoat Pro protection process.
The final picture on the bottom is a 3 month time lapse of the protection offered by Ceramic clear coat, keep in mind that the only up keep in the past three months was a simple rinse, no wax or other shiny tricks. My 2001 Pathfinder hasn’t looked this good since I bought it! He did an awesome job paying attention to the smallest details. Five days later my car still looks great. The product that was used is obviously high end. I will definitely be using this company again!
I’m amazed at what a spectacular job Alan did with detailing my car. He treated it like it was an art project, detailing every single crevice. He is such a perfectionist and spent 7 hours on my car at the flat price. I couldnt believe it. Not to mention the engine clean he did. It looks better than it did when it was new. So clean that I took my shoes off to get into it! The best part is that they are mobile so they come to you and you dont have to wait at the carwash for hours and hours. After experiencing my black Dodge Challenger get destroyed by the big name car washes with all the micro swirling, hard water spots and lack of any attention to detail – I decided to listen to a few of my friends and call these guys. They spent 4 hours on my car removing every scratch and swirling and then applied nano shield ceramic coat. It has been 2 months since and the car looks better than when I bought it! Definitely going to be using these guys once a month – a must for any black muscle car owner!
